Tereshia Q. Huffman is a former Field Organizer for the Woodfin for Mayor Campaign. Prior to joining the Woodfin for Mayor campaign, Tereshia worked as a Project Manager where she challenged practices and policies in philanthropy to make green spaces more equitable for BIPOC leadership.
Tereshia has a history of government service in Atlanta, GA. In her public service role, Tereshia managed and implemented programs that included housing, transportation, child welfare, water billing/water infrastructure, public safety, access to healthy food options, governance, IT, and human resources. Before returning to Birmingham in 2019, Tereshia worked for the DeKalb County Child Advocacy Center that provided legal representation for neglected and abused children in DFACS custody.
Tereshia earned a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Alabama where she studied English Literature and Public Relations. She was recently accepted to the Birmingham School of Law to further her education. She currently sits on the Birmingham Water Works Board as the only female and as the youngest director. She resides in Birmingham, AL. She is the proud aunt of two beautiful nieces and three handsome nephews.
